PocketBuilder is currently distributed as an APK outside Google Play. This download is a development build, not a production store release.
- Download and accept. Use the button or QR above. If Chrome asks whether to keep the APK, read and accept the prompt to finish the download—even if the progress already says 100%.
- Open the APK. Find it in your browser’s Downloads. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then return to the installer and tap Install. This permission is separate from Play Protect.
- Register or sign in. Open PocketBuilder and enter the server address supplied by the operator, your public user name, email and password. If you already have an account, choose Sign in.
- Create your first project. Give it a name and tell the agent what you want. AI usage is subject to your account’s token cap.
If Google Play Protect blocks installation
Try the normal installation and any offered scan first. PocketBuilder can install generated apps and includes optional accessibility-based testing. Sideloaded apps with sensitive permissions can trigger security checks; a warning should not automatically be dismissed as a false alarm. We have seen this development build blocked on our test phone, but the exact reason for that block is not confirmed.
Temporary pause instructions for a trusted development install
Only proceed if you trust this download and understand that pausing scanning reduces protection for other apps too. Google recommends keeping Play Protect enabled.
- Open Google Play Store → profile picture → Play Protect → Settings.
- Tap Scan apps with Play Protect. If your phone offers Pause, choose that instead of permanently turning scanning off. If only Turn off is available and you choose to proceed, keep the interruption brief.
- Return to the downloaded PocketBuilder APK and retry installation. Do not install other apps while scanning is paused.
- Immediately return to Play Protect and turn scanning back on, even if you chose Pause. You can also remove your browser’s permission to install unknown apps afterward.
If a warning identifies malware, or a managed device does not allow this change, stop and contact the PocketBuilder operator rather than bypassing further protections. Labels and options vary by device.
